







Sol LeWitt built his work around the themes of conceptual art and minimalism in the 1960’s. The idea of modular design is associated with many of his works from 1965 - the time he started exploring minimalist cubic constructions. Most notably his series of open and closed cubes which could be stacked and interlocked in various ways following a pre-set in the form of written instruction. His instruction work inspired the creation of the architectural elements below.
