Dash is a kitchen companion. An unobtrusive multi-functional transparent OLED display encased in an anodised aluminium unibody frame. Dash eliminates the need to constantly fiddle with our mobile phones and tablets in the kitchen whilst engaging in tasks requiring maximum dexterity. Use its built in speakers and mic-camera array to communicate, or watch cooking tutorials.
Dash has been designed with the intention of addressing the accelerated information age which we exist in today due to the Covid-19 pandemic. As people demand greater connectivity when working from home, we feel every other space of the modern-day house has been optimized for this sudden transition in how we live except the kitchen. As people eat out less and spend more time with family, we envision several possibilities for content display such as following cooking recipes and tv streaming as well as personalised themes to match an individual’s overall kitchen aesthetic. This kitchen appliance works together with other smart LG products to create a cohesive cooking environment using a mobile app.
